Cat Ba - Tam Coc. Pros: they pick up us at the hotel and left us on the new hotel at Tam Coc. Cons: we leave 30 minutes before but arrived 30 minutes after. So is one more hour trip that announced. But we are happy with the service.

Bus was a nice clean bus. For pick up they even contacted me 30 min before. Guy could speak englisch a little which is nice! In the end they even brought us to out hotel by car. I can recommend!

Very easy transition from Cat Ba to Ninh Binh getting dropped off at Tam Coc Boat Station. Bus arrived on Time in Cat Ba and we made several stops picking up other passengers. We then waited for the ferry to depart and drove on board the ferry. We were allowed to get off while we sailed across to mainland and border right before the ferry docked and drive right off. We took a pit stop at what seemed to be a tourist trap market. The woman at the counter was just charging everyone 100k, even if it was far less. If you make this journey ask price for each item so she has to do the math and cannot cheat you. I believe the bus companies receive some profits from these stops. We continued and arrived in Ninh Binh on time. Driver was good. Bus was quiet and clean. Overall good trip!

Didn’t expect a night sleeper bus. As an older traveller with a balance problem is was quite difficult to take shoes on and off and to get into the seat.

Our Trip with Daiichi was quite good. We were picked up near our homestay on Cat Ba, so we weren’t forced to come to the office, what was very comfortable and helpful for us. Some minutes before the bus came, the driver called us on WhatsApp to make sure, we can meet at the pick up point. The bus was very comfortable. The only “sad” thing was, that we got nothing to eat and or to drink on the trip. We arrived in Ninh Binh a bit late, but maybe this was because we dropped of a few people on their hotels before coming to the official stop point.

I booked a but with seats, the reservation was promising a speed boat. In reality it was a sleeper bus and it took a regular ferry - the journey took a longer time. I expect to get the service that I pay for, so not happy about this approach.
