Bangkok to Chiang Mai Destination Reviews

T
Bus was great, much space for everybody. At a Stop it changed ITS parkingplace so that we got into stress finding it again. Everybody tried to help us and we got back to the bus. As always, condition was too cold... Arriving was before time.

I rarely do reviews but this must be stated. Rude customer service. Lot's of people crammed in a van that wasn't supposed to fit all. The bus chair was unconfortable. The bus stopped multiple times during the trip and a smell of urine from begging to the end was the cherry on top of a hell journey. The good thing was the snack provided but still, not worth it.

Too strong aircondition. No possibility to turn off. I got a cold.

I booked a Super VIP bus, but the experience did not feel like Super VIP at all. Communication on the bus was not possible in English, which made the journey confusing. I often felt unsure about the stops and connections for onward travel. The seats were also rather uncomfortable. Overall, I have experienced much better VIP bus services before and was disappointed this time.

I had a very disappointing experience with this service. I had read some negative reviews about punctuality and not stopping in Ayutthaya, so I was closely monitoring the route on Google Maps. When the driver did not stop in Ayutthaya, I stood up and asked about it. I was told to sit back down. When the next exit was also missed, I stood up again, leading to a long and unfriendly argument. A woman on the phone then said I would be taken to Bangkok and back, but by this time we were already 25 km past Ayutthaya and had accumulated a three-hour delay. I explained that this was not an option, as I could not check in at or after midnight. After a prolonged discussion, I was finally allowed to leave the bus and had to take a taxi to Ayutthaya myself. I reported this to 12Go, and their response claimed that I had been asleep and was offered to turn back — which is completely false. I strongly caution anyone considering this service. It was unprofessional, stressful, and a complete mismanagement of the route.

Air con was on the whole time. You may think this a good thing but it was absolutely freezing. Also there was a loud beeping noise going on all night where the driver was sat. When I asked him about it he basically told me to do one. Not very professional. Didn’t sleep the whole 10 hours due to it. Also the driver crashed into a bollard at the beginning of the service. Very rash. They swapped driver halfway through and the second driver was much better and much more helpful.

Terrible experience, we paid for the more expensive bus but ended up on the most uncomfortable bus, so food, no water, three unnecessary long stops taking our trip time to over 13 hours. Stopped for fuel before an hour in to the trip. Sat on a bus for rover two hours before we even set off. It seemed as though as though there was a cock up with the bus we booked so we were shoved on to a really poor substitute. No explanation. Wouldn’t do it again, totally ruined our experience.
