Absolutely the worst transport company in Thailand – abusive owner, threats, racism, overcharging. DO NOT BOOK with “Trans Baan Ton”. This was by far the most shocking and unacceptable travel experience I have ever had. We booked a transfer with Trans Baan Ton from Phuket to Krabi. Our booking clearly included 2 bags per person, and we had only 3 suitcases total (well within the limit). However, the company sent a very small van with no luggage space. That was THEIR mistake, not ours. When the driver told the owner that there was no more space in the van, the owner insisted on speaking to us and immediately demanded that we pay an extra 400 THB. He then threatened us, saying that if we didn’t pay instantly, we would be left outside with “NO SERVICE”. We had already paid for the trip, so we refused to exit the vehicle unless he refunded us. Instead of behaving professionally, he became extremely aggressive, shouting and insulting us. The owner repeatedly asked for my nationality in an uncomfortable and inappropriate way, which felt discriminatory and racist. Later he even said: “I don’t need money from stupid tourists.” When we arrived in Krabi more than 2 hours late, we kindly asked the driver to return the extra 400 THB. She called the owner, and he immediately began screaming again. He called me: “stupid” – THREE times. This behavior is completely unacceptable, unsafe, and highly unprofessional. We also have a photo of the owner, and he agreed to have the photo taken, so we are sharing it as evidence. After checking other reviews, we found that many people also had bad experiences with this company. For your own safety and peace of mind, avoid Trans Baan Ton at all costs. There are many better and more reliable companies in Thailand.

The driver forgot to pick me up, I had to call the hotline and wait one hour, then we changed the driver half way waiting on the highway, we arrived with a delay of 2hours

I booked in the early hours of the morning for a bus at 1pm. I received booking confirmation and paid, at 1pm I was sat waiting for my bus. I thought it was just late but when I called the operator I was told there was no room for me on the bus and that it was my fault because I booked late and that it was my responsibility to call in the morning to confirm my booking after having received confirmation the night before. When I asked why then was my booking not cancelled or why I was not informed in the morning so I could make alternative arrangements, he man had no answer and again told me it was my fault. So no bus came to get me and i had to make last minute arrangements. I haven’t received my money back as of yet.

Unfortunately the speed boat had zero view of the ocean or any scenery. I was hoping for more of a “ferry” experience where you can enjoy the view while en route and this was not.

Trip from Karon Beach to Karon Beach took 5 hours not 3 as per booking. No traffic just lots of stops to pick up people all over Phuket which delayed travel.

Everythink was ok, except that we missed the timetable at the port of the Bundhaya office. According to the voucher our boat should have left at 8:30, but it left at 9:00 which is not a big deal if you are aware of it.

Driver 40 minutes late. Felt like I was on a roller coaster for over 3 hours. The heavy breaking and bouncy suspension, was really not good.

How to get from Phuket to Ao Nang by Van
