Bangkok to Ayutthaya Destination Reviews

The trip was not comfortable. seats are very narrow and no space for legs if you are > 180cm. But the trip is budget price. Trip took 90 min. But be aware that the bus leaves 30 minutes before booked time so be there 45 min before. This is also not convenient if you are delayed to get to the mini bus station.

Bus was late, no explanations and no new timing given Staff could do better in terms of politeness
Van Regional 13pax, Win 91 Ayutthaya (วิน 91 อยุธยา), Feb 4, 2024
Everything was as expected, the van was like a 45 minutes late but was very smooth in ide and on the way back to Bangkok was an hour earlier so I was happy about the overall experience

The price at the terminal is half cheaper. I probably wouldn't have found it without the pro tips from the pdf ticket!

Took a Grab there, it would have been better if there are instructions on which bus to take from Mochit BTS station. It would also be better if the counter number in building B is stated in the instructions.

Trip was fine. Nice van took us to the main van area and purchased tickets for forward travel. Negative was the lady and driver were both miserable and in very bad moods!
Van Regional 14pax, Tara Tour and Travel (ธาราทัวร์แอนด์ทราเวล), Dec 14, 2023
First we thought the tuk tuk taxi forgot us and we had a little hurry (it was our first bus ride). But the experience was great, comfortable and cool :-)

Great, nothing special to add. Funny English translation for all tourists with big bags at the rear of van
Van Regional 13pax, Win 91 Ayutthaya (วิน 91 อยุธยา), Dec 7, 2023
We arrived 1 hour before, and the minivan went 30min before planned time. Very good. Quick, normal comfort. Our backpacks were in the corridor, because there were some already some in the small "trunk". Good service. We booked our way back directly at the minivan post in Ayutthaya, 140 Baht for 2 ppl.

Van is a convenient option to get from Bangkok to Ayutthaya. Van tickets are affordable, vans are generally do a faster job than buses, vans offer a good choice of departures.

Depending on the van type, each vehicle can accommodate between 12 and 15 passengers. Yet an evident drawback of travelling by van is limited space for the luggage. In most cases you will need to keep your bags, backpacks or suitcases under your seat or in the aisle. Thus van is not the best choice if you travel with huge luggage. F this is the case, consider buying a separate ticket for your bags or choose bus instead.

On certain routes, vans are your only choice of transportation as no buses, trains or flights are available between those destinations.

It is a popular question whether it is necessary to book van tickets in advance. Though some routes feature a lot of departures, we still highly recommend booking your seat especially if you are going to take one of the last vans of the day; travelling during weekends, public holidays or busy tourist seasons; are in a group of two or more and want to travel on the same van.
