We were dropped off at a different location than stated in the booking. We suddenly had to change vehicles without any information about this before it happened even though they had 7 hours to inform us about this. So we were rushed and it ruined an otherwise good trip.

Communication was ok. Bus arrived 30 min later. The stops were not at places where it was nice to have lunch or make use of the toilet. The facilitating person showed enough hospitality. Was friendly. It was not possible to lift the bed. The trip lasted longer than expected. The pickup at Noi An was perfect.

The bus got us from Phong Nha to Hoi An in a somewhat acceptable time, so therefore the second star. First of all, the bus driver was full of sidequests, making stops every few kilometers for people or goods. The advertised time of 6 hours is already a challenge for a normal car, but we ended up taking 8 hours on the route with no traffic jams whatsoever. On a toilet break (that apparently took just 6 minutes) 2 of the passengers were nearly abandoned, because of lack of communication. Weirdest thing was, 2 kilometers before our final destination, the bus stopped and the driver and crew left with no communication. We eventually ended up with unloading the bagage ourselves with the other passengers, and taking a Grab for our last miles. After 30 minutes, the driver came back as we were waiting on our grab. There is no need to speak English, as we are tourists and should adapt, but at least try to communicate in some way.
