The boat was fine, no problems whatsoever. But the shared shuttle was horrible. The driver was 1,5 hours late. He didn’t reply to any of my texts and the contactperson from Mangir Transport also couldn’t give me any clarification on when the driver would be there, he was ‘stuck in traffic’. When he finally arrived, he sat down to eat first because he was hungry, which is okay because he’s working all day but it added to the complications. In the car I sat in the middle, but there was no seatbelt. His driving was really irresponsible. The behavior of the driver was angry and irritated. After some time he asked us if we wanted to take the toll road, because of traffic. It was 5000 rp per person. Google Maps said that there was no difference in arrival time, so we told him it was not necessary. He didn’t really want to take no for an answer. I don’t mind paying such a small amount, but it felt like he wanted to take money off of us. We ended up taking the normal road, after we insisted. Then he started to use Google translate and tell about his life, that he is so tired and is sleepy (which didn’t make me feel safe in the car), he has a wife and children and he doesn’t get payed enough. Really made me feel like he wanted more money. The conditions for this driver seemed very bad. After reading more reviews, apparently this happens more often. Me and my partner stepped out of the car and took a Grab to continue our journey. I let Mangir Transport know our experience, but they sent (what seemed like an automatic) a message and their apologies. No solution whatsoever. I think they should review their drivers working conditions because it made me very uncomfortable.

Driver was lovely - he communicated well and stayed in touch via whatsapp and kept us posted with where he was/how long he’d be, this was very helpful and made things so much easier! He drove safely and was very kind, offered us to play music etc. It was a pleasurable journey and he made it very smooth and easy. 5⭐️ would recommend!

The ferry is a little old an somewhat uncomfortable for people over 1.75m. The pick-up at the pier and the transfer to the accommodation in Canggu worked very well. I would book it again.
