Koh Lanta to Koh Phi Phi Destination Reviews

AM
All good, I booked a ferry from Lanta to Phi Phi with a transfer to the pier. The transfer was on time (they provide the same time for all transfers on Lanta, so add a few minutes depending on where you're staying). The driver was very attentive and there was enough space for everyone and their luggage. The boarding was streamlined, we checked in by signing our name on a passenger list and everyone received a sticker based on their destination. The ferry left and arrived as scheduled. The ferry ride was comfortable and took about 1h. On Phi Phi, everything's within walking distance and easily accessible from the pier.

The boat was one and a half hour late, then we had to wait for two people in the middle of the ocean with big waves and the motor not on, making us an additional 45min late. So in total over two hours. The staff gave us no information whatsoever and when a guy then got mad because of the enormous waiting time and no info the staff got aggressive and one of them pulled a knife at the costumers in the boat. Completely illegal and unprofessional behaviour.

I booked a boat for 12:45 pm. When I checked in, they gave me a new time: 1 pm. So far, not a problem; I was not in a hurry. It turns out the boat didn't leave until later than 1:30 pm. On top of that, it stopped at another island. Again, it might just be a matter of setting the expectations right at the beginning. On the 12go listing, it was stated I would arrive in Koh Phi Phi by 1:30 pm. I ended up arriving close to 3 pm.

They forgot to pick me up in the morning. It said 7am pickup, I was waiting outside my hotel at 645am at 720 I sent a WhatsApp message, no response. Tried calling at 730 took multiple times to get through, she then put me on “hold” to check where the driver was at but hung up on me. I tried calling back several times but couldn’t get through. Finally around 740 she called back telling me the driver forgot to pick me up , I explained the ferry was departing at 8 and my whole tour I had booked on the island was scheduled around that so I couldn’t miss the ferry . She had me walk up to a road from the hotel and sent a tuk tuk of which I did make the ferry ( which I believe was their company) but no apologies or credit offered , nothing and it was stressful. I mean why pay the extra for the prearranged pickup to have that happen?
