We booked two beds in a four-berth sleeper cabin, but we were assigned in two different compartments. We only managed to stay together because another passenger kindly agreed to swap beds. The cabin was nothing like what was advertised. For more than €40 per person, the condition was unacceptable. There was smeared blood on one of the berths, and the air inside the cabin was hot and stuffy. We contacted Vietnam Railways customer service by email before the trip, but never received a reply. In the end, we got off at the first stop, less than an hour after departure, because we did not feel comfortable continuing the journey.

Needing to add the detail that there is a changeover to a small van at the Nha Trang destination which you have to ask for because the staff isn't really helpful. Although the bus is comfy & modern!

Paid the “VIP” cabin. Old rickety train, hard short beds, dirty rooms, dirty bathrooms, creepy train conductor. The 2 stars are for the nice view in the morning. Done it one now wouldn’t do it again.

"VIP Cabin" but very loud AC, not even welcoming snacks or anything. Overall decent experience and we slept OK, but this is very expansive for what it offers at this price, compared to a night bus.
