We took the Lomprayah ferry from Maenam, Koh Samui, to Thong Sala, Koh Phangan. We were there quite early, so we had to wait two hours for the boarding, but the waiting area was clean and comfortable, so we did not mind. The boat was clean and equipped with swim vests, emergency exits were clearly indicated and the passenger area inside was air-conditioned. The trip was smooth and we felt safe all the time. The only thing that could be improved is that when arriving, you have to take your suitcase and carry it up the stairs, while when boarding the vessel the suitcase is loaded on the boat. It would be more convenient, when the pier would be equipped with a ramp, or the crew could at least support elderly and women with their luggage. We departed a little late due to passengers not moving on, so not the fault of the operator. The trip was supposed to be 30 minutes and we landed exactly 30 minutes after departure. Seats are plastic and would be more comfortable, when they would have cusions or would be padded.

Seatran vessel was comfy and all ran to timetable. What stood out was the service from the Seatran staff at Bangrak who quickly resolved a booking issue by me in a polite and professional manner
