Annika HWe thought we were taking a speedboat from Koh Lanta to Koh Lipe but ended up being in a minivan for 4h driving all the way to Satun! Before departing on a speedboat from there. Nobody explained what was going on throughout the day and all passengers were quite confused. It's really expensive compared to other travels we've done in the country. And the minivan driver was going really fast and taking huge risks.

Malcolm SKo Lanta to Ko Lipe. 70 seat speed boat. On time departure and arrival. A couple of quick stops along the way. Staff efficient. Covered area for luggage. A 3 hour trip. Two seasickness tablets before departure. Not sure whether it was just a smooth day but the trip was extremely bearable.

John GIf you’re scared of the water, can’t swim, or it’s your first time on a speedboat do not use this one! The staff were fine, but the boat was really really bad. The thuds of the waves - whilst a natural thing - were so loud - ear puncturing loud a few people asked if it was safe to continue the journey.
One of the metal brackets holding the roof over us was also broken, and you could see the window ledge had been siliconed / fixed recently but it kept moving with every thud of the wave.
The optics weren’t great either when we stopped in the middle of the ocean and they opened a hatch and started scooping water from within the speedboat out of the boat. Not a good journey at all.
The journey started over an hour late, and we also arrived a two hours late.
