As there were only four of us on the journey the bus left once we had all assembled, twenty minutes early. The bus was comfortable, aircon worked fine and the road between Vientiane and Vang Being was good and clear.

Late by 30 minutes which is not too bad but then waiting on a bus (not mini van as advertised) for another 20 minutes. Somehow managed to still get to the destination at the specified time which made for an interesting ride up...

They overfill the vehicle so there was people sitting in the rows on the floor. Too full and very hot. We did take the motorway to vang vieng tho, despite other reviews

Could have been a great experience, the minibus from Vientiane to Vang Vieng (1h30min). Only the driver did not drop us off in the center of Vang Vieng, but 600m short on the main route into town. He asked us for 100.000 kip extra for the last stretch (group of 4, incl. 2 kids), which we refused. Ended up walking to the city center, no worries.

The price is not as it is listed as you have to pay extra for the toll. Just bear that in mind if your considering your options as you’ll have to pay 140,000 extra

There were 3 more people than there were seats and we all had to squeeze in. It was very uncomfortable as I was sat on the gap between two seats the whole journey. Seeing as it's not super cheap I wouldn't expect it to be overbooked like that, it didn't feel very safe either. Especially with everyone's bags it was v cramped
