The worst trip I have ever taken – Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh. I decided to take this bus not to save money (the flight cost just a few dong more), but to have a local experience. What a huge mistake. Let’s start from the beginning: when we arrived at the company’s office, it looked more like a dump than a bus station. Everyone was yelling, total chaos, and you couldn’t even tell which bus you were supposed to get on. They were loading cement bags, boxes, and even a motorbike — and then they threw our luggage on top of that mess. Shortly after leaving, a woman got on the bus selling food, but we didn’t buy anything because other companies usually stop every couple of hours so you can stretch your legs or grab something to eat. These guys didn’t say a word, and we only stopped twice during the entire trip — the first time after almost five hours! A nearly 20-hour trip with only two stops. There were three drivers, and whenever they wanted to take a break or do their own thing, they just stopped randomly, didn’t let us off, smoked on the bus with no shame, and ignored any questions since they didn’t understand a single word of English — or maybe they just didn’t care at all. I got so pissed off that even if I had to pay ten times more or take twice as long, I will never take this disgusting company again.

4 bed 1st class cabin certainly not luxurious but acceptable. Basic facilities. Toilet old but cleaned regularly. Regular food sellers. Hot and cold water available. Bed linen reused between passengers earlier on route. Arrived 4 hours earlier than timetable. Rocky journey, difficult to sleep. Polite and considerate fellow cabin mates.

The flight had a 2 hours delay. Considering that the flight takes only 1h and 20 minutes, the delay was quite huge. Also this was second delayed flight in row. So VietJet is really cheap but also unreliable.

A complete disappointment, going first class, with some dirty and very uncomfortable beds and clothes where others have already slept! Furthermore, the air conditioning was extremely cold and could not be adjusted or turned off! Very dirty bathrooms! If you have to travel, I suggest choosing the BUS trip, much more comfortable and pleasant.
