Yogyakarta to Malang The service at the agency was excellent. The girls there are really professional and help you out when it is time to catch the bus. You receive a message from the driver advising you that he is going to arrive soon at the agency to pick you up. Once on the bus, you have space for reclining the seat and stretch your legs. The driver will provide you with a little snack and there will be time for a lunch break. I travelled during days of Muslim holidays so the traffic was greater than usual. We encountered an accident and had to stop to help another Efisiensi bus which got a flat tyre. I arrived with 1h30min delay due to all the aspects mentioned above, consider potential delays when booking. The only negative aspect is that the driver and assistant of the driver only spoke Indonesian and I could not understand what was going on: how much time do we have for coffee break, is the food for lunch included in our ticket. Anyway, you can use Google Translate and have a conversation with them, I am sure they are helpful if you ask. Bus stops are not announced, but you clearly see where you are following the signs on the street or on Google Maps. The bus has air conditioning and USB ports to charge your phone. You will be provided with pillow and blanket

Pure luxury, very unexpected! A whole little loge for myself with a curtain, TV and Netflix, and we even got warm food! Only drawback was that I found a dead cockroach in a crevice of my seat so that was not so cool. Everything else was great!

We booked the executive bus from Yogjakarta to Malang, which is a 6/7 hour drive. When we arrived at the pickup station we saw a very big tour bus instead of the shuttle we booked. Once we got in that bus we noticed it was very old and almost falling apart. There was smoke in the beginning of the ride inside the bus and airconditioning was not working at all so it was super hot inside. Once we where at the break stop, we said the airconditioning was not working and they started to look at it. After 30 min they told us that the bus was broken and we needed to wait for 1 hour for another bus to arrive. Luckily it was a shuttle bus (as I booked) and it was way better than the big tour bus. The seats where very comfortable and the ride was much smoother. We started at 8:45 in the morning and arrived at 16:45 at noon because of the delay.
