I booked an airport pick-up from Siem Reap Airport to the city center and chose the sedan option (the cheapest one) — but a luxury van arrived for me instead. Such a pleasant surprise! My driver, Kim, was absolutely wonderful. From the very first minutes in the van, he started telling me about the history of Cambodia. It was incredibly heartwarming to see how deeply Cambodians are connected to their history and how much they enjoy sharing it with travelers. I truly appreciated it. The ride itself was excellent — comfortable, smooth, and full of great recommendations on what to see in Siem Reap. What was supposed to be just a simple transfer between two points turned into a mini guided tour through Cambodia’s past. Exceptional service. Highly recommended!
