Maya WWe absolutely do not recommend Green Beach Travel & Tours. We purchased our tickets through One2Go, where the reviews looked fine, but we also found several warnings online claiming the company barely exists or that no one takes responsibility. Because of this, we even called in the morning to reconfirm our tickets and ask all necessary questions.
When we arrived at the pier in Phuket Town, we were simply told to sit and wait. The boat was scheduled for 12:30 PM. But right at 12:30, the staff started packing up their stand. When we asked what was happening, we were suddenly told to get into a car that would take us to another pier “very close by.”
It was definitely not close. We drove around for over 30 minutes, and by the time we arrived — now around 1:00 PM — the driver already seemed nervous. As soon as we got out, we watched the boat we were supposedly being redirected to leaving without us.
We were then told to wait until 2:00 PM for the next boat. This boat didn’t even go to our original destination. Instead, we were supposed to take a taxi on Koh Yao Yai, driving across half the island just to eventually reach our hotel.
What we suspect happened is that they simply didn’t have enough bookings for their own service and therefore outsourced us to another boat company — one that operates completely different routes. That would have been manageable if they had told us upfront. Something like: “You’re the only passengers, we’ll put you on another boat; it will take longer, but we’ll take care of everything.”
That kind of honesty would have been fine.
But not saying a single word, letting us sit and wait, and then rushing us around last-minute without any explanation was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.
From start to finish, this experience was marked by poor organization, zero communication, and complete unreliability. No one informed us properly at any point, and we lost a significant amount of time because nothing happened as booked or even as reconfirmed.
Our conclusion: extremely unreliable — do NOT book with them.
