Manila to Baguio Destination Reviews

SC
It was a very bad experience! I booked for a first class bus. But it turns out like it’s an ordinary bus, there’s no seatbelt , no charger plug in in front of you, no blanket compared to joy bus, & no small tv in front of you, because that supposed to be a first class not like that shit bus !!! I’ve wasted my money booking on that victory liner amounting to 1,200 in 2GO website ! Never again! I will choose joy bus starting from now on!! Because they provide comfort not like victory liner!!!

The movie shown was not good, and it did not have audio. The music played was hardly audible. The bus should have at least one stop for a clean and comfortable hygienic break. The bus should have a good sound system for entertainment. Installing a Wi-fi is ideal.

I can't compare Filipino coach trips to those in UK, however the trip , on the Express Way went well and made good time to Bagiou. The onboard toilet was a blessing.

The address you are giving to your customers should be updated. There no more trips for VL at Gov. Pack Road. All VL buses travel from PNR.

The garbage was overflowing inside the bus when we arrived around 6:20 when boarding was at 6am. The female crew's attitude was not welcoming at all when I opened my concern re the seating arrangements since the seats I chose in 12go was not followed. She told us haughtily that there are people already booked in the seats we want. I only suggested to help me request whoever is seated there to swap seats with us so our fam of 4 will be close to each other. She is very unapproachable like she does not like her job. Also, there was a child at the back watching YT videos at an unreasonably high volume. It would be nice if the lady crew could have approached the sleeping adults to tell the child to lower the volume.

When should I avoid Baguio?

Baguio is best avoided during the rainy season, which typically runs from June to October. Heavy rains can lead to landslides and flooding, affecting road travel and outdoor activities.

Additionally, Baguio experiences a surge of visitors during the Panagbenga Festival in February and the Christmas holiday season, resulting in crowded accommodations and higher prices.

If you prefer a quieter visit, consider traveling during the months of November, January, or March. This period offers cooler weather without the peak season crowds.

How many can fit in a taxi in Baguio?

Taxis in Baguio typically accommodate up to four passengers, including the driver. This is standard for most sedans used as taxis in the city. For larger groups, considering multiple taxis or alternative transportation like a van rental may be necessary.

Taxi fares start at approximately 35 PHP ($0.60) for the first kilometer, with additional charges for each succeeding kilometer.

Why is Baguio a good city to live in?

Baguio offers a mild climate, making it comfortable year-round compared to the tropical heat in other parts of the Philippines. The city is known for its educational institutions, attracting students nationwide. Public transportation is accessible, with jeepneys and taxis being the primary modes; taxi fares typically range from 60 to 150 PHP ($1 to $2.60) within the city.

Baguio's markets, like the Baguio City Market, provide fresh produce and local goods at reasonable prices. Dining options range from local eateries serving traditional Filipino dishes to international restaurants. The community is known for its friendly and welcoming nature, with a mix of local customs and a growing expatriate community.

For water safety, it is advisable to drink bottled or filtered water, as tap water may not always meet safety standards.
