Showed up late without any communication or method to communicate the driver. We also arrived later than the suggested time, but overall a pleasant experience and can't complain. I would book again. I think in Laos it's important to trust the process and have patience, so I have learnt that from this.

The pick up was at 12:00 (I was told to be ready one hour before), but the minivan departured from the central bus station onlyaround 13:30/13:45. There was a delay of 1:30 hour. So instead of 16:00 we arrived on 17:30. I just think it should worth to mention it in advance. But the driver was very nice and professional.

First, the bus driver arrived late. Even though the trip was supposed to go directly to Nong Khiaw, he made an unplanned detour to drop off some random passengers in Luang Prabang, which cost us about 30 minutes. After only 10 more minutes on the road, he decided to take a lunch break — despite no one else wanting to eat — which added another 30 minutes of unnecessary delay. Roughly two hours later, we stopped at a gas station that didn’t even have a bathroom. Along the way, the driver also stopped to buy meat from street vendors. And to top it all off, instead of dropping us off at the actual bus terminal in Nong Khiaw, he left everyone in the middle of nowhere. When passengers asked him to be dropped off at the bus stop or their accommodations, he simply refused and drove off. In the end, we arrived 2.5 hours late (6:45 pm instead of 4:15 pm). Sure, we made it — but that’s about the only positive thing I can say.

Two hours late. We drove around Luang Prabang for 1.5 hours randomly picking up people although I had to come to the station early in the morning. Driver didn’t even inform about next steps or explain random stops.

While the road is full of potholes and cows minding their business, I found the driver competent and patient. Minivan had aircon. The pick-up was around 35 minutes late (8:35am instead of 8am). We received a whatsapp message around 7am to confirm pick-up location and time, which was helpful.

The journey took 3 hours instead of 6, the bus was 1.5 hours delayed leaving. The bus driver was constantly insulting us to the local passengers and calling us farang

First of all the bus wasn’t in the bording point. Some tuk tuk came and took us to the bus station. The bus was dirty no AC. When we arrived to Nong Khiaw driver stoped 4 kilometr before drop off point and told to passengers get off the bus. At the same time magically tuk tuk driver appeared offering city tour. Everybody refused to leave a bus. Finally we arrived to drop off point.
