Carsten PWe arrived in Nong Khiaw but were not satisfied with the trip. We had booked an SUV and paid a lot of money (140 US$) for it. The photo on 12Go.asia showed a brand new car. Instead, we were transported in a very old van. We did have it to ourselves, but it was far less comfortable, which made a big difference given the poor road conditions. The driver was good, but we would have reached our destination faster with an SUV.

Alain DWithout warning, a taxi came to pick me up at the hotel. I thought I had to take a tuktuk to get to your terminal. This taxi seemed to be chasing the bus since we traveled for dozens of kilometers before finally stopping a bus and telling me that I had to get on. A few minutes later, I received a call from your supervisor who didn't understand the situation. I wasn't on the right bus and a driver was waiting for me elsewhere. The mess was resolved by staying on that bus until my destination. I still had to pay 200,000 kip for a taxi that dropped me off on the wrong bus.

Finley CWell the trip started at 12 and we didn’t get picked up till 1. I understand that other passengers have to get picked up but waiting an hour is a little too long. The van itself is comfy but comfort is not even possible on Laos roads. Food poisoning and a migraine didn’t make the journey much better. All that said, you can’t really avoid it if you want to get to Nong Khiaw - and I recommend Nong Khiaw!

Alex TShowed up late without any communication or method to communicate the driver. We also arrived later than the suggested time, but overall a pleasant experience and can't complain. I would book again. I think in Laos it's important to trust the process and have patience, so I have learnt that from this.

Assaf SThe pick up was at 12:00 (I was told to be ready one hour before), but the minivan departured from the central bus station onlyaround 13:30/13:45. There was a delay of 1:30 hour. So instead of 16:00 we arrived on 17:30. I just think it should worth to mention it in advance.
But the driver was very nice and professional.

Patrick BFirst, the bus driver arrived late. Even though the trip was supposed to go directly to Nong Khiaw, he made an unplanned detour to drop off some random passengers in Luang Prabang, which cost us about 30 minutes. After only 10 more minutes on the road, he decided to take a lunch break — despite no one else wanting to eat — which added another 30 minutes of unnecessary delay.
Roughly two hours later, we stopped at a gas station that didn’t even have a bathroom. Along the way, the driver also stopped to buy meat from street vendors. And to top it all off, instead of dropping us off at the actual bus terminal in Nong Khiaw, he left everyone in the middle of nowhere. When passengers asked him to be dropped off at the bus stop or their accommodations, he simply refused and drove off.
In the end, we arrived 2.5 hours late (6:45 pm instead of 4:15 pm). Sure, we made it — but that’s about the only positive thing I can say.
