Lao Cai to Hanoi Destination Reviews

No office in Lao cai. No information to find the tickets. At the end the tickets were held by a kid in a food stand

If you don’t order coffee in the morning (which we would recommend not to do because it was way too sweet) then they don’t wake you up in the morning… we almost missed our stop because the train was very loud and we didn’t hear our alarm 😂

Clean train, confortable beds but a lot of noise if you're at one of the extremity of the train. We paid more for this train and the coffee is not included.

Had to have the back seats … were we last on the pick up? We were informed that we had “booked” the back seats which was not true at all As it turned out the trip was ok in the end but a full van an hour late and having to have the back seats was a bit much for someone who suffers claustrophobia

Vip welccoming and escorting to the train. Nice amenities in the cabin but poor serpent due to hard mattress and noisy train

It was a great experience- didn’t sleep Much because it was so different to what I am used to experiencing- but if I do it again I think it would be easy to sleep. Staff were very nice and helpful.

The cabin was pretty good and the train not as shaky as some other company we traveled with. That said, they indicate that you have to do the check-in at a restaurant opposite the train station, but it just felt like a "trap" to get you to eat there while waiting, but there's no actual check-in process...after paying for the food, a girl from the restaurant literally just walks you to the train and leaves, something I could have done by myself, so there's literally no reason whatsoever to actually go to that restaurant, although even 12Go says so on the PDF). To be fair, the restaurant was good, but again, no real reason to make you go there at all.

It's my first time using a bed train, but the Vietnamese railway still needs a lot of improvement. No sound insulation.
