We booked the connecting bus and ferry from ao nang to koh tao and 12go guaranteed the connection. The bus dropped us off at a pier where the ferrys only left to koh phangan and koh samui at 4.30pm. So we were in the wrong place and the last ferry to koh tao left at 3, which is an every day thing, so the organisation knew that we would have a problem and they didn’t the tell us and just left. This was a terrible experience, because we were stuck now. Nobody helped us and we had to figure out ourselves how to get to koh tao. We didn’t get any money back for the missed ferry aswell, so we are very disappointed in the 12go service and would to talk about compensation to figure this out.

We wait in the bus almost half hour not knowing what’s going on. Our boat was delayed almost 3h, nobody could tell us why, the boarding was one big chaos, the staff don’t have any sign telling which group is boarding, after 15 minuts they get a sign telling who is going into boat. A lot of children waiting in line crying. The boarding took almost 45 minutes.

Good but poor speedboat. Took a total of 2.5 hrs on road and 3 hrs on boat. Felt like the boat would capsize had a very bad case of sea sickness. Mentally prepare yourself. Although weather was good, sea was rough. My take would be taken the morning ferry instead. Unfortunately the only alternative is to go to Samui by flight (expensive depending on season) and 2 hrs boat ride.
