Great trip! Disregard the other naysayers in the comments, they've never been on a boat before probably. Boat is fine. Follow the herd at boarding, sit, enjoy and relax. You might even see some whales if you're lucky.

I did Ko Lanta hotel transfer to Ao Nang transfer and the trip was very efficient. I was picked up at 11:20am and dropped at my hotel at 15:00 (i.e. half an hour later vs the initial time scheduled of 14:30). Comfortable van, we stay in the same van which takes a ferry to cross between Ko Lanta and Krabi. Once in Krabi town they asked me to move to a taxi which would take me to Ao Nang, I was a bit confused at first but the transfer was very smooth.
