We booked a time to be picked up and the bus never arrived. When we contacted them they said the bus had been and didn’t see us which was a lie. They told us to come back in a couple hours for another bus which we did. Once we had arrived at our destination we got a text saying that the first bus we were meant to get had malfunctioned and that is why it did not arrive which means their earlier excuse was a lie. I assume it was only the two of us that booked it and they cancelled it as didn’t feel it was worth the journey. Then, after we had arrived they continued to text trying to get us to board a bus the next day, bear in mind we had already arrived at our destination, while also refusing to give any refund for the delay. We took another bus with the same company a couple days later and had more problems - we were not allowed to sit in the comfier empty seats and instead were put in broken ones in the back because apparently we reserved the two at the back, but there was no option when booking to reserve a particular seat so am not sure how this works. This is the reason for the poor comfort rating as second journey was poor. Bus also did not look like it does in the reference pictures. On the plus side - bus was relatively comfortable and driver was pleasant. The problem is which whoever is managing the company as it was not the driver.

The van was old and the interior was broken and a bit dirty. The driver was friendly and stopped for 2 rest breaks. The driver took us directly to our accommodation which was good. Our original booking time was changed to an hour later.

Overall good. We had a message from the company the day before with photo of the van and plate. The driver was on time for the pick-up. However, the van was old and not as confortable as expected. The seats didn't even recline and we had little space for the legs. We also arrived 1h30 late at the end, but we still had a mandatory stop for 25 minutes to eat. However, the driver was kind enough to drop us off at our hotel.

The road to Cao Bang was very curvy and the driver drove fast + we were at the back seats of the van so we were shaking from side to side all the way. I can't tell if it was because of the back seat or the driver ot both. But the trip was un pleasant.
