Many stops inbetween Chiang Mai and Mochit. But it was okay. There were blankets, free water and one free meal for lunch.

The train itself is not bad, but its very old. Upper bed has very little space. Pillow provided is hard as rock and super thin. Lights are on during the whole trip. And the rails are often in very bad state resolving in sudden "jumps" of the train. So overall I get less sleep than on the cramped bus.

I love the train ride. I also like that they separate female (solo or group) from males in the train. I just hope that the fixing of bed is faster because it can be awkward when you are sharing the table or lower berth with someone you don’t know

The train had problems and had to go back to the main line station but it was sorted out ‘quickly’ but we lost some time. We understand it’s an old train so we were okay as we didn’t have a time schedule. The day trip was great. Having food to buy for lunch was great as we didn’t know and it wasn’t mentioned in our documents when purchased. The night trip was amazing and the service of staff was fantastic!!! Very friendly and helpful. The sleeper cabin was a complete surprise and we were very happy and would highly recommend anyone to book it as a fantastic experience!! Again not a lot of information about there being showers on the train which was important to know and a nice surprise that they were there.

More than expected from our trip, comfortable seats, food and at 1/2 way we got a meal. Time went quickly The only issue was that the voucher didn’t tell us what was included, we bought heaps of snacks for the trip but didn’t need them
