Mate SUpon checking in on Lombok, the agent offered us transport from Padangbai to Denpasar Airport for 300,000 IDR (2 people). He assured us the bus was comfortable and suitable for the two-hour ride. We agreed, even though Grab was only 250,000 more, because he promised it would be waiting right away.
The reality was very different. The boat arrived two hours late — which we didn’t mind since safety comes first. But the bus itself had almost no legroom, not even enough for a child. I had to twist sideways the whole ride because my knees couldn’t fit behind the seat. So much for “comfortable.”
Before reaching the airport, the driver got out and told us we needed to pay 50,000 IDR for parking or walk 15 minutes. I was trying to find the cash as this was before leaving when he saw that we may have less he said okay 30,000 is okay “he’ll help us”. When we checked online, we saw airport drop-off is free, and even larger minibuses only pay around 16,000 for 1 entire hour. Clearly, this extra fee was not legitimate. I confronted him when we arrived but he kept insisting big bus fee.
When I contacted the check-in desk afterward, they brushed it off, said it was “another company,” and even told me I had no good reason to complain. Their exact words: “Be careful to make a complain in Indonesia.” No apology, no accountability. Apparently lying to customer’s face and taking money based on that lie is no good reason for them.
My advice: spend the extra on a Grab. It’s a little more expensive, more transparent, and far more comfortable. This service misled us on multiple points and tried to extract extra money at the end. Not worth the stress.

As the boat came 2 hours late the sea was very rought and it was very bad journey.
Very disapointed.

Marine IVery disappointed. The website showed a departure at 8:00 AM and an arrival in Bali at 9:30 AM. When we arrived, we were told we would arrive around 11:30 AM at the latest. In the end, we only arrived at 12:30 PM. We had a flight to catch, and luckily we had planned a big time buffer, otherwise we would have missed it. Totally unreliable schedule.

Sagar PThe ferry from Lombok to Bali got delayed by almost an hour due to tidal conditions. Also there was no water being served inside the ferry, only beer. Overall the ferry ride was comfortable.

Renske LWe payed a lot for a fast boat from
Senggigi directly to Padangbai at 10.30 in the morning. The trip would take 1.5 hours. Just 1 day before they rescedules to another boat at another harbour, 40 minutes away (bangsal) at 9.00. And the boat stopped at all the gilli’s allong the way. Took 3 hours. No compensation, nothing. We were not happy. But we made it across😃.

Ludovic LI bought the tickets at 13:40 for a boat departing at 14:45.
When we arrived at Bangsal Pier at 14:15, the operator of Ostina told us we where not supposed to buy tickets less than 24 hours before departure. Therefore, he told us our seats were not guaranteed and we had to wait until the time of departure (15:00 and not 14:45 by the way) to know if we were allowed to get on board.
As we where on hurry, he told us we could get tickets for a boat departing right now, with seats guaranteed... So we decided to buy new tickets directly, paying 2.000.000 IR more...
So finally the 70€ of the first booking have been lost, as we didn't even wait for the boat, having no guarantee that our seats would be booked.
Can we get a refund ?
As this is not the first time we were told so during our trip in Indonesia, could you make sure not to sell ferry tickets on D-day ?
