The ferry check in at Koh Phangan was quick, just scan QR code and enter the gate to board. Plenty of seats inside and out. Inside the cab seats were decent in terms of comfort, the air conditioning was great in some areas and lacking in others. Mini mart on board had everything like 7-11 which was nice. There are lots of spots on around the ferry to enjoy the views. Foot massage was also available on board.
We left 30 minutes late and then had to wait seaside at Donsak Pier while another ferry de-boarded, loaded and took sail. All in all ended up about an hour late on Seatran, no fault of Phantip.
Phantip had busses ready to transport at the pier. They were well organized and efficient. They even allow passengers 10 minutes to make purchases at Pier market and food stands.
The bus ride to Surat Thani was good, a comfortable ride on board. Great air conditioning temperature. We took 75 minutes to arrive at Phantip office in Surat Thani Town.
Overall it was a good trip and I would book again. Highly recommended!

Ferry left on time, it' a bit old, but still seems fine. They give you stickers to sort you, where they write where you're going/next connection. Bus was waiting for us at the pier, we had to wait for another ferry and then drop some people in town before going to the train station, so we arrived about 30 minutes after estimated arrival. They last went to the airport, don't know how long that took them, but as they state you should calculate at least 4-5 hours before you flight time. There was a couple that originally booked only to town and they could go to the airport for an additional 100baht per person, so that's an option in case you need it.

Crossing deliberately booked from Tapee pier because we would be in a hotel there very close by. Been keen on just this location and time because other reviews have mentioned that sometimes a mini-van has to be driven from this pier to Donsak pier for an hour.
Booked: departure from Tapee pier, sailing at 8am. Nowhere in the booking process were we given different times or boarding point. Seemed all well arranged so.
After completing the payment, a confirmation via e-mail came quickly. Meeting point was near Tapee pier. But the departure from Donsak. Which we did not want at all and had not been included in the info during the booking. Departure time idd 8am, from Donsak! So departure from Tapee at 7, and an urgent request to be there at least one hour in advance. So 6 am!
In short. Not what we wanted. If this had been clearly indicated during the booking process, we certainly would not have opted for this. If you choose this, there is nothing wrong with that, but be transparent when booking.
In the end we decided to take a different hotel, 10 minutes away from the Donsak pier so we could just walk there by 8 am and board. In retrospect, we would have been better off doing this crossing entirely without this booking because buying the ferry ticket separately at the counter is much cheaper. But that also makes sense since
you also pay for an hour of mini-van transportation.
Crossing there with the ferry from Raja nothing to complain about. Older ferry. Nice enclosed seating area with good chairs and air conditioning if you choose. Outside/inside seating also possible. Several vending machines with snacks and drinks on board. Just neat.
Back by speed boat from Lomprayah. That is an open and low boat with hard wooden benches that goes back in an hour and a half with a stop at Ko Samui. Nothing in terms of comfort or facilities on board so do go to the toilet before then.
So low rating because of the organization by 12goasia and not because of the boat crossing.

Overtocht bewust geboekt vanaf de Tapee pier omdat wij daar zeer nabij in een hotel zouden zitten. Scherp geweest op juist deze locatie en tijd omdat in andere reviews voorbij kwam dat er soms vanaf deze pier eerst een uur met een mini-van naar de Donsak pier gereden moet.
Geboekt: vertrek vanaf Tapee pier, afvaart om 8u. Nergens in het boekings proces afwijkende tijden of opstapplaats meegekregen. Leek allemaal goed geregeld dus.
Na het afronden van de betaling kwam vrij snel een bevestiging via de mail. Verzamel locatie idd nabij de Tapee pier. Maar de afvaart toch vanaf Donsak. Wat wij dus helemaal niet wilden en ook niet eerder in de info tijdens het boeken hadden meegekregen. Tijd afvaart idd 8u, vanaf Donsak! Vertrek vanaf Tapee dus toch om 7, en het dringend verzoek er wel minimaal een uur van tevoren aanwezig te zijn. Dus 6u!!
Kortom. Niet wat wij wilden. Als dit tijdens het boekingsproces duidelijk was aangegeven hadden wij hier zeker niet voor gekozen. Als je hiervoor kiest is daar niets mis mee, maar wees dan transparant tijdens het boeken.
Uiteindelijk er maar voor gekozen een ander hotel te nemen, op 10 minuten afstand van de Donsak pier zodat we daar gewoon tegen 8u heen konden wandelen en opstappen. Achteraf hadden we deze overtocht beter helemaal zonder deze boeking kunnen doen want de veerboot kaart los aan de balie kopen is stukken goedkoper. Maar dat is dan ook wel weer logisch aangezien
je dus ook voor een uurtje mini-van vervoer betaald.
Overtocht heen met de veerboot van Raja niets op aan te merken. Oudere veerboot. Mooie afgesloten zitruimte met goede stoelen en airco als je ervoor kiest. Buiten/binnen zitten ook mogelijk. Diverse verkoopmachines met snacks en drinken aan boord. Gewoon keurig.
Terug met de speedboot van Lomprayah. Dat is een open en lage boot met harde houten bankjes die in anderhalf uur teruggaat met een tussenstop op Ko Samui. Niets aan comfort of faciliteiten aan boord dus wel voor die tijd even naar het toilet gaan.
Lage beoordeling dus vanwege de organisatie door 12goasia en niet vanwege de overtocht met de boot.
