First of all I’ve been told to wait for the van to take me to the pier, my ferry was at 6:45am. When it was 6:25, I went to double check and they said “oh the van didn’t come today, you need to hurry up and get a cab”. When I got there the ferry was leaving, they managed to get me in quickly tho. Super unorganized. Secondly and worst part, the way they speed up these boats are very rough and the trips are really dangerous. And that’s a problem with all the ferries here. In Indonesia they have really big ones and it’s a bit slower but so much safer. We don’t feel the motion at all. I didn’t have sea sickness but I was pretty scared so I asked them to have some salt as my blood pressure was so low and I felt very weak, like I was fainting, i translated for them to understand. They read it and they did nothing, 0 care. I had to go to the bathroom and staff stays next to the door, the boat is going up and down, so hard to walk.. staff didn’t even bother helping with the door. I’m panicking just to think of returning to the pier. I was going to koh samui in between but I changed my mind, one extra kamikaze boat? No thanks. Never taking these bloody ferries again! 0/0

Lights could have been turned off at night. A sleeper train with lights off. Very hard to sleep Eapescially on the top bunk where the lights are sitting right next to you. No announcements? Nearly missed my stop.

Their ferries are really nice and big - great for those who get seasick or don’t like being inside as there’s lots of outdoor seating too (indoor with AC if you prefer), clean and efficient

Great value night ferry + private transfer. My flight arrived hours before pickup and it was extremely helpful to be able to leave my luggage until then.
