actually good service and good drive, as always freezing cold so take a sweater!! they have you blankets so the combinazion will keep you warm. just thw staff at khao san road was so incredibly mean, i came with my family kindly asking if we can check in, and the guy looked at my father and partner and asking for the tickets. they looked at me saying „she got everything“. he looked at them again ignoring me completely, standing in front of him, smiling and showing the tickets. and again „please show me the ticket“ to the men. at this point i got kinda mad but still said politely „sorry? i got everything“ and got ignored again. idk why sexism is so okay for him/ them. finally after everyone going silent and waiting for him to stop being an idiot, he harshly took my phone saying „come back in an hour, you can’t leave your luggage here“. we came back an hour later, the room was files with luggage? such a weird experience but the drive was good

The only downpoint was that they seated us at the back of the bus in the corner. My height is 1.84 m so my head came against the roof. But the assistant driver was kind enought to let us sit in the front. And the bus can also depart an hour later to not wait so much for the ferry haha. But the comfort was very good. We slept good. I wasnt disappointed that i didnt go with the plane

The vip bus version is so worth it. Go to khao san road for Lomprayah's waiting area half an hour before. Then board the bus. Comfortable seats, more comfortable than an economy flight seat to be honest. The bus will depart on time. Stop at a place if you want a rest room or snack break after about 4-5hours. Drive another 3 hours. Wait at pier for an hour or so to take your ferry. The ferry takes a couple hours to reach Koh Tao. That simple and convenient.

I have traveled with 12Go many times and it is always a great experience. This time I took the regular bus because I didn’t see the VIP available and I’d say the VIP is FOR SURE worth the extra money. Don’t be cheap here if you’re traveling a long distance, you will very likely be miserable if so :) esp if you are a guy with long legs.
