Siem Reap to Bangkok Destination Reviews

MC
This was my second trip with them, the first one was only 2 days prior. In both trips, my selected schedule was cancelled and merged with the second trip of the day which was 9am. For this particular trip, I was very disappointed with the way they handled the cancellation. I get that they are trying to do things from a cost-efficient perspective, but they sacrifice customer experience in the process. They informed me of the changes at past 5pm the DAY BEFORE my scheduled trip. I picked the 7:45am departure so we have ample time to get to the airport since our flight out of Bangkok was on the evening of that date. So they moved us to the 9am schedule. I called and demanded they make separate arrangements for us since we have to catch a flight. The say nothing else can be done, our option was only to either accept the new schedule or get a full refund. So I had to accept the new schedule. They did promise, on my request, to keep the scheduled stops tight and get us to the final destination on or before 6pm. Another issue that I complained about was that they moved our seats from the 2nd row to the 7th row. It would have been a non-issue (since all seats had the exact same legroom and comfortable seats) had it not been for the proximity of the 7th row to the engine and the noise and vibration was very irritating and painful to the ears. I requested and even demanded that they re-seat us but nothing they could do since the front rows were already full with passengers who booked the 9am schedule. It was VERY FRUSTRATING, to say the least. Aircondiitioning on-board was also VERY POOR. In both trips (BKK-SIEM REAP and SIEM REAP-BKK), both buses had very poor airconditioning. It got very hot especially around mid-morning all the way until late afternoon. We were sweating in our seats, and even if you ask the staff and driver to increase the fan level and make the temp cooler, they would just nod and say yes, but there's absolutely no changes at all. I had to ask them 2 to 3 times, still no change in temp. I do commend their customer service for trying their best to appease me. But I do hope they make some serious changes to their booking system. When it's low season, they have to expect that both trips will not get full bookings. So they do not need to publish both schedules on their website with the intent of merging the 2 trips if they can fit all passengers in one bus. That way, customers like me can manage our expectations and plan accordingly. It's better to do this as a PREVENTIVE measure (anyway, if customers really want their service, they will make time for their schedule even if it's only limited to one trip per day) as opposed to DAMAGE CONTROL in which they will have to deal with angry and disgruntled customers and bad reviews (such as this). I am writing this review and rating it as such so that their management will hopefully somehow pay attention to this issue (maybe from their POV, it's trivial and minor, but for customers like me who always plan the schedules ahead, it's VERY INFURIATING) and do something about it. I do have to commend them for their on-board service, it is really topnotch (staff is very attentive, very clear instructions, assistance at the border from exit all the way to entry, preparing requirements and documents ahead of time, etc). The seats are very comfortable, bus is clean, everything is working (reclining of seats, foot rests and stools) EXCEPT their airconditioning. It would have been a very pleasant trip for us if they had foreseen all those issues I mentioned above and managed them properly (PREVENTIVE being the operative word). Others may have had a more pleasant experience than us and I can imagine that without the rescheduling, reseating and airconditiong problems we encountered, this would have been a perfect trip altogether.

I understand that there is an issue regarding the border crossing but they handled the situation very bad. First, the communication is poor. Second when their manager called, I was even blamed why I booked the 1pm trip. When in fact, I booked this trip a month before the concern. They should’ve notified their passengers ahead of time and not when the passengers are already waiting at the terminal. Had I known that it will be the concern, I should’ve cancelled the trip and transferred at an earlier trip. Third, they gave us the option to sleep at the border. We consent to that option yet they told us that the van already left, in fact it never drop by our terminal. They lied about that fact just to force us to take the morning trip for the next day. It was a bad and frustrating experience. They are reluctant and negligent as a common carrier.

The bus was very comfortable and the conductor was polite and professional. Expect to walk and line up at both embassies. Bread and coffee was provided at the start. Lunch was also served.

My friend got pulled out at the Border because the idiot forgot to book a flight out of Thailand and on the way from the border to Bangkok we got a flat tire but everything was handelt soo well by the stewardess chloe. She was really nice and made the whole experience fun instead of annoying. The Bus is good and comfy as well, has a toilet, a caffee station and lots of usb charging ports would give 6/5 if i could
