Roi BIt wasn't just bad it was the worst.
We were on a tiny van for 4 hours to the border . So no sleep . The whole point was to have a sleeper bus.
When we arrived , the van just put us there . And left . For 4 hours we were alone in the middle of nowhere and started to rain. Don't know where to go. 9am some one arrived just point us to go somewhere for the immigration, no one is with us. Only on the other side it got better .
But the thai part of the trip felt like a big scam.
Will never do it again and make sure everyone that I care about will not repeat my mistake.
Cant belive he just put us there and left us in the rain for 4 hours. Alone. Unbelievable.

Johannes PPaid but didn't make it on time. Lesson learned is: if you take the bus and take a taxi to Giant Ibis ,into town, go at least two hours in advance. The traffic is immense and you will be too late........

Veraneeta DI booked for the journey Bangkok to Siem Reap and this includes transferring to another bus once we crossed the border at Poi Pet. From Bangkok, it was a van departing from the Pratunam Market Area and it was quite comfortable. The staff there was really helpful.
During the border-crossing, we were given tag to hang on our neck as this will be used by agent from the other side to identify us. It was a little bit chaos once we completed the border crossing procedure because there were a lot of people but the agent managed to locate all of us. He is very kind, friendly and good manner. He explained to us that since we arrived earlier, (as there were not that too many people crossing the border at that time; otherwise the crossing procedure take longer time to finish) we still had 2 hours to go before the next bus journey, and this time it would be the sleeper bus.
For the 2 hours while waiting, we were gathered at their office and it was quite cozy to have some rest as they provides bunk beds to lay down, ample chairs to sit and many sockets to recharge the phone. Passengers can also take showers and beside the office, there is a small restaurant selling local foods at the left and a money exchanger on the right. Quite convenient.
The next journey was the sleeper bus and it was really pleasant, I enjoyed it a lot. It arrived on time in Siem Reap and I truly had memorable experience with the whole journey. Thank you so much.

Rebecca RChloe was an excellent host; visas were easily sorted at the border as I did not have an e-visa prior and we went through the border control quickly. Bus was very comfortable!
