Mochit to Chiang Mai Destination Reviews

It was hard to find anyone early to help with boarding to make sure it was the right train. The attendant doesn't show up until a few minutes before loading time. Then once inside there are only beds for you to sleep on and no place to sit if you're not ready to sleep. Attendants in the train were not very helpful and bathrooms were disgustingl

totally fine just the ac is crazy and you can’t turn it off. there is 2 hole ac things over your head and you can simply close them but hvere is another one that’s always putting tornados on your head so we were freezing like crazy and we got sick. i don’t know who survives that.. pack socks, long sleeves and a sweater and if you have something for your head. ac‘s are the most under-feared things when it comes to getting sick

12GO office was closed, flight was delayed and tickets had to be picked up prior to to departure. PDF of tickets would not be accepted. We could not pick up our tickets, there was no way to contact you after hours and we missed our train.

It was a nightmare to get the tickets in the office, this should be in the train station where we pick up the train.

Very frustrating service - incredibly rude staff member. Very bumpy journey, impossible to sleep. Bus stopped unnecessarily multiple times on the journey for no purpose other than the drivers - very disappointed overall

Traveling on the overnight train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai was a unique experience and one that we highly recommend. We booked our tickets through **12Go**, and their service was excellent. They were responsive and very helpful whenever we had questions before the trip, making the entire booking process smooth and stress-free. Since it was our first time sleeping on a train, we were a little nervous at first. However, boarding was quick and easy. Once on board, we were greeted by a lovely older attendant who helped us purchase breakfast for the next morning, as well as hot drinks for the evening. Around 8:00 PM, another staff member came through the carriage and transformed the seats into beds. The bedding—including the pillow, blanket, and sheets—was individually sealed in plastic, smelled fresh, and was very clean. Sleeping on the train may be challenging if you're a light sleeper, as the train travels slowly and makes frequent stops throughout the night. Our 13-year-old son, however, slept like a baby! At around 6:00 AM, the staff gently woke everyone up, served breakfast to those who had ordered it, folded the beds away, and converted them back into seats, preparing the carriage for arrival. Overall, this was a memorable adventure and a wonderful way to travel between Bangkok and Chiang Mai. It was comfortable, well-organized, and added something special to our trip. We would happily do it again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a different travel experience in Thailand.
