Booked first class cabins overnight. Clean and comfortable as a train can be. Super friendly and helpful staff. Food was average, but that is by Thai standards - compared to UK train food it was exceptional! A little anxiety about process of ordering and collecting tickets but it wasn’t an issue. Good instructions and easy collection. We were able to board the train an hour before departure. Overall very easy and stress free experience.

Very old train, even the 1st class is disappointing. While booking (very messy and not efficient), we can’t really identify the differences between the train numbers. Good thing though is the time reliability.

It was fun and much cleaner than I expected. The toilets were very clean. The beds are I little hard. But the pillow and the blanket was clean. The only thing the moment before everything is build into beds, it’s so freaking cold in the train the AC is on. Really hard. And we didn’t have longsleeve with us. So that was really uncomfortable. But when you go to sleep you can close the curtain and then you don’t feel it.

Staff service was good and the bus clean. However I would consider a English translation for your hostess on a PA system informing foreigners of her announcements as now they have no idea what she is saying.

The trip went smoothly. But the spot that I got was a little bit near the toilet, and it was stinky.
