John CThe ticket agent did not respond to my requests for hardcopy tickets (12go provides a voucher) until I requested a refund from 12go the night before my train journey. By that time I had decided it was a scam and had purchased a second ticket.
The train ticket that I was given by the agent was for a different train to the one I booked.

Booking reference: BW4900416
I booked and paid about $75 on 12Go for what was clearly advertised as a Talgo train from Alexandria to Cairo.
Talgo trains in Egypt are the new high-speed trains, which is exactly why I chose that option and paid a higher price.
However, when I arrived at the station their representative handed me a ticket for train #88 instead — a regular, much slower train that costs about $40 and is NOT a Talgo service.
So I paid almost double for a service that I did not receive.
If the Talgo train was not available, the company should have informed me and refunded the difference instead of silently replacing it with a cheaper train.
This experience feels misleading and very unprofessional.
I cannot recommend 12Go and will avoid using them in the future.

Rik DI paid 176 Euro with you for 2 tickets instead of 103 dollar if I had bought directly and easily at the ticketing office.. That’s nearly double and I had to wait 2 hours and go through hassle to get to meet your agent to get the tickets. What a hassle and for too expensive!!
