Mariona Formal Complaint Regarding Misconduct by Train Ticket Inspector
Dear Sir/Madam,
We are writing to file a formal complaint regarding a very serious incident that occurred during our journey on the train number 14006/LICHCHIVI EXP 20:55h, 21 July 2026 from Tundla to Varanasi in First AC (1A)
We are three 30-year-old female tourists traveling with valid First AC tickets for a private cabin. Upon boarding the train, the ticket inspector, together with another man who was not a railway employee, attempted to deceive us about our tickets in what appeared to be an effort to take over our cabin for themselves.
Despite having valid reservations, we were repeatedly told that the cabin did not belong to us. The situation was intimidating and distressing, particularly because we are three young women traveling alone in a foreign country.
Eventually, we had to force our way into our own cabin in order to occupy the accommodation that we had legally booked and paid for. We find it completely unacceptable that a ticket inspector—whose responsibility is to ensure the safety and well-being of passengers—would participate in an attempt to mislead passengers in collaboration with someone who was not even a member of the railway staff.
This incident caused us significant anxiety and made us feel unsafe throughout a large part of our journey. We believe this matter is extremely serious and deserves an immediate investigation. We respectfully request that appropriate disciplinary action be taken against those involved to ensure that no other passengers, especially tourists or women traveling alone, have to experience such treatment.
We trust that this complaint will be handled with the seriousness it deserves, and we would appreciate receiving information about the outcome of your investigation and any actions taken.
Sincerely,
Three female tourists and passengers

Nick VThe Tran was nasty and dirty and uncomfortable. I would not suggest the use to anyone needing a hygienic environment. The train arrives at my destination so late that it was very difficult to get to final destination.

Andrea MSoweit alles ok. Der Zug war in Tundla nicht auf der Anzeigetafel, aber die Mitarbeiter am Bahnhof waren sehr hilfreich. Mit nur acht Minuten Verspätung am Start, sind wir pünktlich in Varanasi angekommen.

Robert PThe train was clean and the assistace was good.
The last minute change in platform and the lack of information regarding the order of the vagons made us run to find our vagon on a 2 minute total stop, which was a last second success.
The trains ride was a bit bumpy, and the open space sleeper in 2nd Class AC made it hard to sleep at all.
But we did reach our destination on time!
