Jessica SI was dreading the overnight boat but this was actually the best part. I travelled in low season so it wasn’t full and I had plenty of room and managed to sleep on the boat from Koh Phangan to Surat Thani.
Once we got off the sleeper boat it was so chaotic and unorganised. At first there was around 6 of us waiting at the pier (all going different locations - Koh lanta, krabi and Phuket) there was a guy with a 12Go sign that just kept saying wait here 5 mins over and over, then he told the girl going to Phuket she had to wait whilst the rest left so we got in the van then he shouted her to come get in😂 whenever anyone asked questions about what was happening the driver just got really angry and frustrated with us and would just say okay okay over and over. Maybe a language barrier so I do feel bad about this but no explanation was given.
We then dropped some people off at different bus stations and pulled into a toilet stop where you could buy coffee etc and more buses pulled up and this again was so chaotic with people going to lots of different destinations and not knowing which van to get in, once organised we then drove to another bus stop dropped 2 people off who were going the same place as us so we asked if we needed to get off and again the driver got super annoyed with us and just said no with no explanation as to why. We then drove around the corner swapped vans again and picked the same 2 passengers back up😂 then we drove to the pier and over to Koh Lanta and the driver tried to make us pay extra to get dropped off at our hotel but when we showed him the ticket said transfer he dropped it.
If the mini van situation was refined we would have got to Koh lanta 3 hours earlier.
So basically it doesn’t actually matter which company you book with as you all end up on a random van anyway and if you pay for a transfer before hand make sure you can prove it and it’s best not to ask any questions and just trust you’ll end up where you’re going😂

Greig WNot the best. Lots of messing about. The bus is about 30 years old and the toilet is unusable. The mini bus driver did 3 detours which included collecting his wife and 3 children who were in the minibus too. Probably not a huge problem for people getting on in Krabi but we’d been up since 6am travelling from Koh Phangan and by 4pm, we just wanted to get off the transport and be there, not messing about with detours. We went with Lomprayah thinking it would be a better service than some of the other operators but don’t think it was worth the extra cost.

Nof AIt went great. But I was pissed that the driver tricked us saying that the taxi costs 250 per person instead of 150 per person to our hotel area. And he made sure that we pay him directly before we even arrived to koh lanta.

Konstantin LOn this route, you will change VAN to another one in Krabi. In the end, the route looks like this: Koh Phangan to Donsak ferry. Then VAN from Donsak to Krabi. Then another VAN from Krabi to Koh Lanta.
Part of the road from Donsak to Krabi was terrible. The VAN was old and uncomfortable. In addition, some kind of device was beeping irritatingly on the dashboard all the way. It made it very difficult to sleep. When I asked to turn off the device or make it quieter, the driver reacted inappropriately - stopped VAN and tried to drop me off right on the road.
The VAN on the way from Krabi to Koh Lanta is also not very comfortable, but it is not so long to go. It is wonderful that VAN brings you directly to the selected hotel.

Carolin EWe had to change vehicles 4 times, no one told us anything, everyone just shouted. The van was completely full because some people had too much luggage that blocked a seat and I had to sit in the front where there was no real seat, there was no seatbelt, no head rest and my head almost hit the ceiling. The driver went way too fast and was constantly on his phone texting or watching videos. After contacting the support team they just told me they were sorry for my unpleasant experience.

Can YAll in all ok. But it is very frustrating that there is no information upfront where and when you do a bus change or how much time you have until the next bus arrives. You only know that you trip will involve a ferry and a bus...

Josephine HGet to the boat about a hour early if you want any choice of bed!! Ferry was cramped with small thin ‘gym mat’ mattresses - probably about a metre space across per person. Also the girls next to me were top and tailing because they couldn’t find enough beds each, would have been useful to have a designated bed each because it was definitely cramped where I was. However experience was fine for what I paid and the crossing was smooth and it was an easy checkin.

Isabel AWe needed to pay another 600 Bath for our luggage. The ferry from Koh Phangan to the mainland was very old and the seats disgusting. The minivan was so loaded that one became really claustrophobic. The suitcases and backpacks were stuffed between the seats. At first you thought that this is only for 1 hour until we had to change and you could already endure it, then it was the same game in the next van. In addition, it was then said at the connecting bus that there was no room for our luggage, although we had even paid extra. We then had to wait 1.5 hours for the next bus. This was again completely crammed, so that one really could not move at all. 2 of us sat on emergency seats, which had squeaked the whole time and had to hold the luggage. An unreasonable demand.
