The ferry was absolutely fine, but the bus company was a joke!!!! They had to cram 11 people and all our rucksacks into this tiny tiny mini van which was full of cockroaches everywhere! We went from the pier to Phnom Penh where we were told to get off and swap vans but for some reason there were 3 locals already in the new van so me and 2 other girls were told we had to wait for the next van which was going to be in ‘10 minutes’ but after waiting 10 minutes we asked again where the new coach was and she told us we had to wait till 6pm it was currently 4pm!!! So they had kicked us off the transfer coach because they had over booked then had us wait 2 hours stranded in phnom penh Once the new coach arrived we got on at 6:30 then didn’t leave till 8 we just sat at the side of the road whilst the driver and his mates smoked and every time we asked why we weren’t going they just laughed at us, then we had to go pick other people up for another 2 hours so we didn’t end up leaving the city till 10pm!! and arrived in the middle of no where in siem reap at 4am Absolutely ridiculous, as 3 young travelers the service and staff were awful and no help at all it was an absolute joke

The driver was nice but there was no AC which was hard in 28 degree heat. The van also broke down and overheated but we only had to wait half an hour for another bus.

We reached Sihanoukville Port at 11. 30 (started in Kampot at 8.30) so we could take the ferry at 12. The Ferry started at 12.20 so we were at Koh Rong at around 1 pm
