It was a lot more cosy than I thought and the seats were comfy. It wasn't busy on the carriage so could look out both sides but as it is airconned it does have windows so you can't lean out. However it makes a bit quieter which is nice. Well worth doing it if you have the time

Great job from 12goasia. Our seats were confirmed and tickets delivered to our hotel well ahead of time. The journey itself was a highlight of the trip.

Travelled from Ella to Kandy and feared the worst from what we had read. In fact the journey could not have been better. Collected the tickets in Colombo, boarded the train in Ella with reserved seats and everything was plain sailing. Train staff were really professional looking out for everyone.

Cracking views, train could be more comfortable. Toilets were not pleasant, which is not good on a 7 hour train.

Hi. The service of 12go was very fast and helpful. We got our tickets waiting for us at our hotel at arugam bay. We had connection with 12go team by watsupp, making sure that we have our tickets. The only thing that can be better is the seats that were opposite to the train's direction.

Easy to check in and good and polite service on the train. Little bit confusing which platform we had to wait but everything worked out well.

Everything went smooth as planned. We received our tickets when we arrived our 1st hotel. The only disappointment was that we shouldn't have picket 1st class, but 2sd instead, as 1st was boring. This is not fault of the company of course.

12GO Asia made it a very simple task arranging 1st class train tickets for Ella to Kandy from Australia. They also assisted to deliver our tickets to our accomodation as an afterthought on our behalf and the customer service for the entire process was excellent! I have no hesitation in highly recommending this company to anyone thinking of using them!

I can’t fault the service from 12go.asia, or the booking of our seats. The cost of the tickets was however, significantly more expensive than if we’d just bought them once in Sri Lanka. It is fairly quiet with tourists right now, so we could have purchased on the day - but at a busier time it may not have been possible to do this. Communication and service from 12go.asia was excellent.

Delivery was tricky with the awful events going on in Sri Lanka, but customer service were incredibly responsive and re-arranged delivery to our next hotel with plenty of time to spare. The train journey from Ella to Kandy was as beautiful as you've heard - maybe more!

The train journey itself is stunning - we went Ella to Kandy. I have taken trains in Africa; China; India; Russia; Thailand; UK; and Europe - this is maybe the best. However the 12Go Asia website is misleading - we booked for the 9.30 departure with the website saying there were 6 seats left. One month later (long after our money debited) we were told that train had sold out & we couldn't travel on it...

Excellent service! We travelled as a family of four (children ages 9 and 10) between Ella and Kandy in April 2019. Our tickets were ordered and pdf emailed through a month before our journey. We exchanged the pdf for our tickets in Colombo. Great seat reservations, brilliant train journey. This is the second time we've used 12goAsia (last time in Thailand) and both times great service.

The trip was gorgeous and the seats were comfortable and spacious. The only issue was lack of loo roll in the toilets.

Awesome scenic train ride. Although 1 st class has AC, second class would have been a better option because the windows open and you can get good photos

Immediately on arrival to their destination, travellers find themselves in close proximity to important facilities like hotels, supermarkets, and hospitals.

If you travel with a lot of bags and luggage, trains are your best option. Luggage weight limits on trains are rather flexible and allow you to carry multiple bags with you.
