Alternatively, you can board the 9.30pm bus at Morchit, Bangkok and arrive in Surin at 4.45am. You require THB 400 to secure a ticket for this trip.

Bangkok's northern bus station is expansive, but you can get there from MRT subway station Kamphaeng Phet or BTS Skytrain Mo Chit station by taxi. It costs less that THB 50.
