The ferry ride from Pak Bara Pier to Koh Lipe was super calm. I was worried because of the videos online. A lot of people fell asleep on the ride. The check in was very organized. After the ride they brought our luggage to the pier which was perfect.

We got to the Pak Ba Ra Pier just an hour-ish before our departure time at 9:30. At the pier we met a lady customer service who were readily to assist and direct us to Bundhaya Office which is just across the road from the pier - giving us enough time to look about and change our money. We had 2 x 20kg luggages and 2 x hand baggages. When the Ofice open, they tagged all our bags and we were belonging free to walk about and walk through to the pier. The boat ride was very smooth, there were about 20-30 passengers in all. Took about 1hr-ish none stop to Koh Lipe. They help us get our bags to the shore where we were met by our accommodation transport. In all, very pleasant journey. One thing I would recommend is to have your baggage water proof as some of our clothes were a little wet.

The speedboat made a stop at Koh Ta-nga island for about 30 minutes thus the arrival to Koh Lipe delayed accordingly
