Koh Tao to Bangkok Destination Reviews

IM
Already took this trip around 12 times. Normally worh the normal bus. This time with the vip. With is really a big extra. More space. Ac works 100% good. I was less tires and it was easier for me to rest or sleep on the bus. For me for the next time worth the money. Although the normal tickets arnt bad either.

The bus ride was not so great. The bus is very comfortable but the AC is way too strong, we were very cold. Also the stop is too early. Only 2 hours after departure we do a stop, and then we go 6 hours without a single break, it’s way too long. You should do at least one more short stop.

We didnt expect such a long bus ride. There was no explanation as to how long the ferry vs bus was. We thought the ferry would be the main part of the trip instead of just 1.5h. The bus smelt bad, no reading lights available and ac didnt come from vents above our seats. We arrived 45min late

It was good but the information about the booking was not clear. I booked a 10hour boat (because it only said 'boat') but it turned out to be a 2 hour boat and a 8 hour bus. I only figured this out after asking at the pier. It was not said on the 12go website at all...

Everything was great, only the bus and ferry wasn't on time.

We booked a combined ferry and VIP bus ticket from Koh Tao to Bangkok at the counter in Koh Tao. The process started off smoothly, but once we arrived in Chumphon, all passengers were required to queue again at a counter to show the bus ticket and collect a second sticker for the bus. Since the ferry was completely full, the line for the buses was very long and a bit chaotic. The color-coded sticker system was helpful for organizing passengers, though it felt unnecessary to purchase a combined ticket in Koh Tao only to have to queue again in Chumphon for another verification step. The VIP bus itself was very spacious and comfortable, with a toilet on board. There was only one 30-minute break along the way, which was sufficient. The journey overall was fine, but the bus arrived in Bangkok about 1.5 hours later than scheduled.
