Aldric MPicking up the boarding tickets and luggage tags at the port counter went very smoothly.
The boarding area is clearly signposted (and in any case, you are given small stickers to put on your clothes so that the staff can direct you to the right place).
The boat arrived on time and dropped us off on time as well.
However, it might be worth specifying the type of boat when booking, as the boat we took was not the one shown on the voucher.
For the Koh Phangan → Koh Tao journey we took, be careful when choosing your departure time, as depending on the schedule, you may not be on the “large” catamaran (the white boat shown on the voucher), but on a small speedboat.
The waves are felt much more strongly on the speedboat, and it could make you seasick if you are not used to it or are prone to motion sickness, as it is a much smaller boat. The journey takes around 50 minutes.
This should be specified when booking.
If you have no issue with this, then it’s perfectly fine. Otherwise, it’s something to keep in mind when choosing your departure time.

Agathe Standing in line at the pier took so long that I almost missed the ferry, even though I came early.
The signs didn't tell if someone with a ticket also had to stand in line, so every body droid in one line. Two rows would be better. One, for people with a ticket and another for people without a ticket.

Dewi AHeavy wind. We arrived too late. But before we arrived at the pier, the boat made an extra stop at Koh Nan Yuang. I didn’t know that was part of the boat plan. We arrived an hour too late at Mae Haad pier.
