We took the bus from Bangkok to Khao Sok and had a pleasant experience. The bus left only 20 minutes late and we arrived in Surat Thani around 6 am. This is where everyone gets off to then catch their transfer to the final destination. The first bus was comfy with seats that fully reclined. The AC is very strong, you get a pillow and blanket but I would advice to also bring a sweater to keep warm. We were able to get some sleep although bumpy roads and honking woke us up intermittently. The second bus was more basic but fine for the 2h journey to Khao Sok. We felt safe and well taken care of the whole trip and would happily do it again!

The vehicle broke down which obviously cannot be helped and the first bus was good. However, the 2nd bus was less comfortable (again can't be helped) but we had a 2h delay due to breaking down which was not communicated and then we got off the 2nd bus and shipped off to another place and on a third bus with a 1h40 min wait.

The people where really unfriendly and it was very chaotic and there was too little information and my Chair was also broken.

Bus was 45 min late, had a very random stop in the middle of the night and couldn’t sleep because the chairs could not move back. Also had extremely litte legroom. Should’ve just taken the train honestly.

This is not a sleeper bus with beds, it’s a coach with chairs that recline. Plenty of stops for rest but for the most part an uncomfortable journey as a “VIP” classed coach.
