Overall the train journey was as planned, on time and we had our reserved seats. The train was extremely warm even with the fans, so would advise people to either take or buy a lot of water for the trip.

It was fine. I’m just not personally a big fan of long road journeys and travelling after dark meant most of the journey was literally in darkness inside the coach.

As usual I sadly have to say that the time estimate on this trip are completely incorrect. When the site says the trip are estimated to take around 3 hours, the truth are more like the double of that, included a rest stop in Nakhon Ratatchima. And 6 hours are unfortunately a lucky guess too. Yesterday the trip took more like 7,5 hours, which is normal, with the traffic in rural Thailand and even more in the city of Bangkok, unfortunately this is more of the usual way than an exception, but it’s really is how life in Thailand are, Sabai sabai..
