Henri PPublic speedboat from Samet to mainland was OK. At pier was a person who took care of us. They took us to van which was very nice with soft leather chairs and we were only persons before Pattaya and from there van picked one person to go.
Van dropped us near our hotel at Rambuttri Rd.
One pee break was enough and we were at our destination earlier than the schedule indicated.

Toyo scheduled minibus driver didnt tell that tyre had a problem but kept driving. on the way, he decided to replace types without telling passengers anything .... and took 30min break at some bus stop. he might have already known all.
spent one more hour than expected arrival time.
recommend travellers take van or bus operated by tour operator, not by public scheduled bus.

Furio PSome chaotic organization of the trip, they sent me 2 times to the wrong pier on the way back and let my 2 yo daughter under the sun for almost half an hour. On the way to Ban Phe the bus had no shock absorbers basically.

He stopped for a while chatting to his friends on the main road ( he needed a break but it was not like a motorway convenience) stop
He drove erratic, shouting to himself and people on cars outside was cutting from
Lane to lane or outside lane.

Bethan HThe people at the harbour lied to me to try and get me onto the slow boat when I had paid for the speed boat and it said so on the ticket (in Thai and English) Had to wait 45 minutes for the bus to leave. Mini bus very comfy, speedboat cramped and smelt strongly of fuel.
