Marcelo VHonestly, this trip was not what we expected at all.
First of all, the high-speed boat departed about 15 minutes later than the scheduled time. When we arrived, the ferry stopped at a pier that was not the one we had booked. Our pier was on the other side of the island.
We informed both the driver and the assistant that this was not the correct drop-off point and that our pier was on the other side of the island. Unfortunately, the language barrier was a major issue and everything became very confusing. We could not understand what they were telling us. We explained the situation three times and showed our ticket to prove that it was not the correct pier.
In the end, they made us get off the ferry and told us to speak with the ticket office.
At the ticket office, the woman did not speak English and told us that we had to walk along the beach to reach our accommodation, which was not correct. Our hotel was not in that direction, but on the opposite side of the island, and there is no land connection because there is jungle in between.
They then made us speak with someone via video call, who told us that we had to pay for a boat to get to the correct location. After further discussion, they finally agreed to take us to the other side of the island, but we had to wait one hour for this.

Anton MThis is not a speedboat but a slow wooden boat. The trip from Longset Beach to Saracen Bay took almost 1.5 hours. We were lucky to have calm sea and good weather.
There were only a few passengers, so my girlfriend and I could sit on the upper deck, which made the journey more enjoyable and even quite relaxing.
That said, the trip is definitely very slow, so be prepared for a long ride. Overall, okay experience if you’re not in a hurry and the weather is good.

Raphaël SWooden boat (like for fisherman), so slower than others but with nice weather really sufficient.
It was a bit late (15min) and took more time than the announced 30min (around 50) but overall experience was great.
