I met a lovely group of people on the train. It would be a bit better if they dimmed the lights during sleep time. I am short so the length of the bed was ok. Might be a problem for tall people.

Second class AC non-sleeper Bangkok to Ning Khai Train left and arrived mostly on schedule. There were no issues other than the seat being uncomfortable and lacking legroom (I'm 1.8 meters tall). The train was a bit cold, we were given blankets. No water or snack provided. It was fine
