The train was perfect! But 12Go Customer service was a catastrophe. I was told that changing the departute point is not possible and after I changed my whole travel plans, it suddenly would have been!

Mild Food poisoning? Felt ill after eating from provided buffet; however may have been motion sickness from top of the bus. Note for tourists everything is in Thai so make sure to have a translator app. No toilet facilities on the bus. Blanket, water and snack box were nice. USB chargers were also provided at the seats.

To be honest we did not have high hopes at the sound of a 10 hour bus that did not include beds, but my boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised! We had a smooth and comfortable journey, with food, recliner seats, and a bathroom on board. Easy to navigate and check in. For the price, we have no complaints

Booking through 12Go came with unexpected extra charges on my card, so keep that in mind. The train left about 20 minutes late, but we still arrived at the following stations on time, which was nice. The ride was a little bumpy but nothing too uncomfortable. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean and didn't smell bad, and the bunk beds were very sturdy. One thing to note is that the staff make up the beds quite early like 4pm. If you're assigned a top bunk, you'll have to climb up and stay there for the rest of the ride. There is a small onboard cafeteria, but the food is overpriced, and the prices charged didn't match what was listed on the menu, which was disappointing. The biggest downside was the guards, who were not very friendly or welcoming. Since there’s no announcement of which station is the next so you have to follow along on your phone and see your current location to know when to get out. I asked for helped but they screamed and said not their problem. Overall, the trip was acceptable, but there were a few issues that made the experience less enjoyable.

Everything about the trip met or exceeded my expectations except for the dinner stop food. Normally the food is pretty okay but this time it was simply not good. One of the meatballs I tried seemed like it was spoiled and I couldn’t eat it for fear of gastro issues. Anyway, everything else was good. The driver handled the rainy roads very well.
