Passengers also enjoy snacks on their trip.

VIP and VIP24 buses offer the same services plus the added advantage of food and TV for entertainment.

Children, up to three years may ride for free on their parent's lap.

Cons

The buses, however, use extensive air conditioning to avoid water condensing.

Krungsiam Tour does not accept cancellations or offer refunds; therefore, passengers should check in 30 minutes before departure. It is also important to note that arrival times are for reference only and sometimes buses can be late.

Some staff on the bus may not speak English.

Keep in mind

Those traveling from Bangkok to Koh Samui should check in at least one hour before departure. Because the trip takes 17 hours and 30 minutes, the bus stops in the middle of the route so that passengers can have a free meal at a local restaurant.

Travellers Reviews

A comfortable bus with good seats, snacks and tv screens, a very good trip, and amazing staff are just a few of the positive remarks passengers have given for Krungsiam Tour. The Company also receives negative feedback for poor organization, freezing AC, and long delays. However, as noted above, the AC on the buses is extensive so carry warm clothes.

This was such a comfortable bus. You can put the chairs right back to relax. They have screens so you can put movies on. This trip consists of a bus, van, and ferry. We asked at the counter when we collected our ticket to make sure we knew what was happening. Also the 3 tickets we got said bus, van, and ferry. People can't expect to have their hand held through the journey. And you can't expect everyone to speak English in a foreign country. Take some responsibility and try figure out what's going on yourself. The bus drops people off in Surat Thani. You might have to wait a little bit until the van comes to collect people. We had one van come and take half the people, then another came 10 minutes later and took the rest. They drop you off at the port for the islands. You have to find the right pier and board the ferry. You can ask at the information desk in the ferry center

Leaving time was half hour later than booked which didn’t bother us but would have been helpful to know as we waited around. I was not made aware that the bus would stop at 5:30am for us to collect a connecting bus two hours later. The lady on the bus was very abrupt and rude. However the bus and journey were fantastic with free food & WiFi! Which were totally unexpected.

Seats were very comfortable compared to coaches we’ve taken before. There was a tv with English movies but my screen didn’t work so well so didn’t use that. My partner did. The massage function of the chair didn’t work. We got snacks and drinks and a cold towel when we first got on but that was it. No stop for a meal as advertised, yet again. Stopped for a toilet break about 2 hours into the trip then no more stops again which wasn’t great. Personal overhead lights didn’t work so had to try to sleep as soon as the lights went off at leaving at 7.30pm or had nothing to do. Got to Bangkok about 5am but it wasn’t advertised that there was multiple stops in Bangkok to get off otherwise we would have gotten off earlier than the southern bus station. Overall okay service but probably not worth the price without the meal provided.

It was a really good trip. We tot a sandwich and drinks and a free mee in a restaurant. The chairs are massage chairs and you can watch movies. You get a cushion and a blanket for the night. Lots of room for your legs.

- Everything left kind of on time except the bus - the girls in the bus were very annoyed and they kept forgetting to hand us out stuff, they seemed very bored! We didn’t even get earplugs, towels and things like that, extrwmely annoying! - the bus stopped A lot, we didn’t have to get out bit still it’s weird. - after that we were dropped of in the middle of nowhere with a small group, without instructions - but the lady that was sitting there was very helpfull, finaly. - the rest of the trip was ok

Managed to get a free shuttle from the office to southern terminal on the bus we would later be on which saved us some money on a taxi or tuk tuk. The seats were very big and had lots of leg room as well as a massage feature. Staff were helpful and we got snacks as well as a free meal after a few hours on the bus

Love it the crew and the bus!! The only thing that happened is that the chair of a lady front of me was too damn back, and I don't had much space for legs

VIP... I wouldn’t book again. The bus was pretty dated and dirty. The stewardess and her child slept at the back of the bus behind our seats so we weren’t able to recline all the way. The toilet was really dirty as well. That being said, we were provided with snacks, juice and water, and arrived on time and safely.

Service was great. The only problem I encountered was most staff from the bus companies didn't speak fluent English, but that is to be expected from a company who's costumer base speaks Thai more than any other languages. They did have enough English for me to figure out what was going on though
