The rule of thumb is the faster the boat, the higher the price is. Before booking, decide whether you need an express service or slower options are also acceptable. The rates for the latter are much more affordable. Yet the difference in the travel time may be really huge, so always check how long the ferry trip takes before you book your ticket. Also, the availability of some classes can be limited and always requires advanced booking.
