Ferry ride itself was quite relaxing and entertaining. We also booked a transfer from bus station to the pier but they forgot and we had to contact them. In the end they spontaneously organized a ride and everything was alright.

We were at the pier 2 hours earlier than our departure time. We were able to get a boat 1.5h earlier, which was really nice!! The boat left on time and we arrived at Koh Phayam exactly 40 minutes later!

I enjoyed the activity on the wharf! The boat did have some delays as a result. But you shouldn't mind that if you go on the slow boat. It is mainly a cargo boat with some room for passengers. But even that had its charms. The staff was very helpful when boarding and disembarking. It was a nice cruise.

The owner of Shanxi Agency is super nice! Everything was on time, 100% reliable and it was very nice to be welcomed with a sign of your name at the airport. I accidently booked for the wrong day and the owner changed it to the correct date, no questions asked and no extra payment. Absolutely recommend booking your trips here! Went to the bus terminal in Ranong & presented my voucher to exchange for bus ticket / boat ticket. They were not interested to help as I had paid online in advance. Luckily a lovely local lady helped & gave me a lift to the ferry terminal. I brought some boiled eggs off her for breakfast in exchange for the ride. The ferry company did accept the internet voucher so at least that was valid. My experience is that its best to buy tickets in person when in thailand with cash.
