When changing from the small bus to the big one, the guides were creating chaos, unorganized queuing, shouting at people for no reason, not answering questions, treating all except VIP very rude. They did not hand Food vouchers to lots of people and did not tell why. When we did the break with the big bus, it was not the usual place with some options for food, it was a small unpleasant small, dirty restaurant where we needed to stay 30mns. When arriving to Bangkok much earlier at 5am there was no announcement before, just lights on and direct drop off, no time for people to wake up. This was the worst trip on that route so far.

I've done route from Koh Tao to Bangkok and for the price it's excellent service. You go by boat and after you travel by bus with stop on food. Bus is comfortable.

Overall it was on time. The big bus from surat thani to Bangkok was confortable. The only problem was the drive from the pier to surat thani in a minivan. The driver was driving like crazy.

It was bought as a direct ferry from Koh Phangan to Kao San, but it was a ferry with a stop in Koh Tao to Champan and after that a bus that stopped for almost an hour somewhere.

Extremely confusing

They didn’t tell us where we were going when we got off of the boat. They put us onto a shuttle and then on another bus and no one knew where se were actually going. The driver that took us to the bus station drove very recklessly and very fast, kept blinking with the lights and passing cars. I dont know if that was because our boat had a little delay, but regardless that should not be how it’s done. The ac was okay but pretty cold. We didn’t know we were making a stop at a rest point and they just turned on the lights and didn’t tell us whwn we had to be back until we asked. Overall there was a lack of organisation, especially since the boat i guess had a little delay.

On time, well coordinated. The seats can only slightly be tilted which makes it difficult to sleep. The blankets they provided were not washed and had a sweat smell. In the last two hours there was a urine stench coming from the toilet. On the other hand one of the cheapest tickets for koh phangan-bkk route. And I’ve tried the ‘deluxe’ busses which are much more expensive though didn’t provide much more comfort. So I’d say this is good value for money. Stinky toilet and uncomfortable seats are not avoidable iny experience.
